Restful sleep is the third pillar of health - alongside regular physical activity and a healthy diet. Those who ensure sufficient sleep promote nightly regeneration and get through the day healthier and more productive. Too little sleep, on the other hand, leads to long-term health problems, increased susceptibility to stress, reduced concentration and weakened immune defenses. Current studies show that about one in three adults suffers from sleep problems to a greater or lesser extent and is affected accordingly. The seminar shows which habits and behaviors in everyday life are conducive to sleep and which in turn have an unfavorable effect on sleep and nightly regeneration. This enables a critical look at one's own behavior in the areas of nutrition, physical activity and stress as well as relevant influencing factors, especially in the evening hours, such as the use of TV, tablet or smartphone. In addition to general advice on how to improve sleep hygiene, specific recommendations for the prevention of sleep onset and sleep maintenance disorders as well as effective exercises for activation are presented.
